BFG Mud Terrians

Realized yesterday that new tires are going to be needed for the Montero sooner than expected. Would like to stay with 255/85R16s, which seriously limits my choices.

Any thoughts on the BFG Mud-Terrians? Mostly wondering on tread life and traction on packed snow/ice.

Any other suggestions?

Assuming you mean the KM2's ;)

I run the 255/85's on my F350 and whether its on road or off I can't say enough good things about them. They are 10ply's and they have shown exceptional tread wear--I drive a LOT, they are quieter compared to some of the other mt's out there. In that size I don't think you will find a better tire imo :)

I run 31x10.5 km2 on my tacoma its my dd, I love them the are way quiet on the road... the one thing about them is that they have a hard time balancing them, all terrains are suppose to do better on on road snow and ice though .

Good to hear. Any idea yet on tread life?
