Big bore kit?

Doing more research on the big bore kit there are no complaints about reliability issues. The only complaint that I have find to be common is after the big bore kit you are still on a low tuned 351 cc and making 29 hp and 21 pounds of torque. These numbers are pretty low for that cc range, just slightly over a stock wr250, but with a low tuned motor people still pull 50k+ miles on the 351 motors and you have a very forgiving power band that works great for the street and dirt.

I have a really really clean KDX220 2 stroke with maybe 400 miles on it. It has the same style suspension you probably have but it will run circles around your 300. I could be convinced to sell. image.jpeg

Still has has the original tires on it

I vote:

- Keep the KLX and install the 351 kit. Great bike for all those dual sport adventures just waiting to be had.

- Pick up a used 2 stroke like the KDX or KTM 200-300. Great single track/woods/desert weapon..

I got tired of the KSL folks and decided to keep my bike. I have ordered the big bore kit and a bunch of other goodies. We will find out if it was a good idea.

I take it you don't want to trade for an Xbox, guns or subwoofers?? :D

I'm looking forward to this. Be sure to take pics.
You are exactly right. I thinking I might start a build thread for this as I purchased a whole loot of goods.
Parts:
FMF power core exhaust with a mega bomb header
Bill blue 351 big bore kit
TM 33/34 Mikuni flat slide pumper carb
Led Blinkers
New graphics kit
New tires
New handle bars
New Bark busters

If anything it will be a fun build process since I am lacking any off-road 4x4 project.
