So, how do I get motivated about wheeling again? I have been having a sweet summer without it. I have NO motivation to fab, tinker or build anything let alone wheel...

I have even thought about getting out....

I guess I just need to go out whelling I'm just board with some of the local trails and can not afford to go to Moab..... oh hum....

pitty me............

Go ride shotgun for a while, that did it for me. Of course I'll get mine done after I finish my fence, then the gate, maybe some rocks on the side of house, blow some insulation in the garage, finish my sons modded power wheels then my Jeep? Crap..............

RockMonkey is good at rolls, EKSJAE is interesting to ride with. I'd offer a ride but my rig is sooo not ready. Just hook up with the next group going wheelin at WW.

Come down here for a weekend Shawn, there's some diffrent stuff that'll get you going again.

I hear ya though, I've picked up a new hobby & I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I'm learning new things & doing stuff I've never done before. I still wheel & like it, but it's not the only focus in my life. :)

I would really like to run 21 road... I keep saying it, but have yet to commit to it.

I have been staging out for a couple years now. I don't own a 4x4 aside from my 4 wheeler. The thing for me was I got sick and tired of all the wrenching and repair. I enjoyed the build but it just became an enormous money pit and I didn't feel like I was getting enough of a return on my investment. I have always been a go fast guy so a fast 4x4-wheeler and a fast motorcycle have given me what I felt I needed.

I have had a hankering to get back into the game so maybe I will pick up a newer wrangler rubicon or built XJ...maybe even one of those new FJ cruisers to get back into the light wheeling scene. I don't have any desire whatsoever to get back into the non street legal line of the business.

This is really where I think I am right now. The build up on the cruiser just killed me. I worked on it everyday, every weekend, every free minute. I enjoyed it, but in the end it fried me. It took me a month and a half to outboard the rear springs and install a gas tank in the Commando because I didn't want to work on it.

Friends keep asking me for help and I keep telling them no, I just don't want to do it.... I hope my tude changes soon because I really enjoy fabbing.

Commit! Come to Moab for Thanksgiving & head over to Grand Junction for 21 Road & Billings Canyon. Billings will make you glad you built the Cruiser like you did. Let's get a couple other familiar faces & plan a little trip. :D

I've been thinking the same things Shawn... I went and looked at some 4x4 ATV's today. Seems they are just easier to take out and they seem to have less upkeep. I have a sport quad and love going to the dunes, but I'm thinking of selling my Jeep and getting a 4x4 quad for the mtns.

Shawn seems to be bored with his wheelers too...

I have both and the quads can get just as boring, the biggest problem with both is if you end up wheeling alone most of the time.

I have the 4x4 quads and they are a good time, but like our rock crawlers they all have a time and a place. I don't have any plans to give up either.
