Did he make it to S.C.?
We saw him at EJS this year, I think he was moving towards the end of May. It's a bummer that he moved, we really enjoyed wheelin' with him :( He did say he will still come out for EJS and as much as he can after that.

Hey!
I just got hooked up in my new place, and thought I'd check things out at the old hangout.....nice of you guys to think of me. Lot of stuff has happened since I moved from Utah. I miss it a bunch and I have not had one chance to take my rig off road. It is now in my basement garage waiting to have some work done on it with hopes of making EJS 2007.

One thing I will have to do is get a tow rig to make EJS 2007. Maybe I can pick something up cheap that will do the job until I can afford the tow rig I really want.

As for what has happened, it is a long and sordid tale. I actually did get married, bought a house with her and left her about 3 months ago. Married life just didn't agree with me I guess. Might have had something to do with the huge personality conflict she and I always had. I'm better off now and I can spend some of my hard earned cash on getting the wrangler back up to snuff.

Had some cooling systems issues that really put a scare in me. In the end, I have to attribute it to vapor lock, but I will definately be replacing the cooling system (radiator, hoses, water pump, thermostat.....etc.) and installing some auxillary transmission and oil coolers. I hope to get that done this winter and take a couple of weeks for EJS next year. The tow rig may be the biggest holdup.

Thanks again for thinking of me, sorry to be such a stranger.

later!

Has been a long time. Funny thing, I picked up my mail today, and found a letter from RR4W. It was an application for Trail guides and gunners. I am going to go ahead and fill out the form and see if I can be a gunner on a few trails. That will give me an additional boost in motivation to make things happen for next easter.

I hope to be spending more time around these parts now that I have my life back. Looking forward to reading the trip reports and hearing about all the fun I am missing :(

Forgot to mention...I bought a Toy Pre-runner a few weeks ago. 1999 model for $3000. Pretty good deal I think. Only had 104,000 miles on it. It had been beat by the previous owner, but I am confident that the Toy will run for a long time!
Another other 'toy' I've picked up since I came out this way is a mx-5 (also a 99 model). I have heard a few of you guys say they are girls cars or something, but for running up a twisty mountain road, it is a real blast.
I had a honda shadow for a while, but the bike just didn't suit my riding style. I am now working on getting a Yamaha FZ-1. That should suit me much better. Don't know what I want first, tow rig or bike.....tough decisions...

Hey! What's up BroncoMama! A friend of mine told me about a guy selling a mid 90s 2wd chevy extended cab 1500 for pretty cheap (wants $4500, but needs money bad...). I think I will try to take a look at it next week. Not the best for towing, but it will haul my rig and a few days supplies!

I'm really missing getting out on the rocks....
