Blew a fuze?

Ok, helping a friend out tonite and quickly running out of daylight his 87 Toy Truck all of a sudden wouldnt start. It just "clicks" like its an almost dead battery even tho we had a dual battery Powerstroke charging it. Never had a starting issue before, and its just odd. We couldnt get it started, im thinking starter siloniod. Any feedback?

We ran out of time and Im just looking any suggestions. Its a 22re and 5 speed.

could be a completely shorted battery.
more likely the solenoid is dead.
replace the starter.
also replace the fuel filter while the starter is out, and the filter is *easier* to get to.
