Body lift question

I have a 3" body lift on my TJ. I want to cut it down to 1" or something like that. Any ideas on what I should use to cut the poly glass? I was thinking like a chop saw or something but thought maybe it would burn too much.

Any ideas?

I would just buy a whole new kit. Daystar makes a kit that replaces your stock bushings with poly bushings that are molded to give you 1" of body lift. It is a great kit, I just installed it on my YJ.

the best price I could get ANYWHERE appeared to be way below anyone elses cost in UTAH!!!

www.mesa4x4.com is the place. They must have some sort of factory preferred pricing or something...it was cheaper by 30$ than the best price anywhere in utah.

Thanks Spence. I was thinking about that. I can get a kit cheap through Mepco too but I was just thinking of cutting this down. Now that I think about it I'll have to get all new hardware and everything so it's just not worth it.

I wouldnt recommend anything else....
Well not going over 1" too but that's just my opinion...

You guys probably know but when my brother had almost everyone from the Jeep SLC list help him out with his massive project. The CYJ-7 Project. Someone bought a huge stick of the rubber stuff that body lifts are made of. They tried cutting them to use for a 2"... They were all uneven and crappy. It didnt turn out so they just went and bought a daystar kit. I suggest just buying a new one from seeing how they tried cutting them.

Sorry Brandon. Thanks for the offer, that's a killer deal but I start work for Mepco on Monday and I can get a kit cheaper there.

You guys are right. It would be more work than worth. I'll just get a new kit.
