Body swap?

Does anyone know if a 2nd gen 4runner body wil fit a1st gen runner frame?

There was a couple guys over on planet4x4.net who traded bodies, 1st for 2nd gen runners. Didn't seem like a big deal.

just relocate the frame mounts

the wheelbase is different, wont work unless u stretch the wheelbase. and the rear of the 2nd gen runners is setup for a flat rear frame and the 1st gen runner has an arch just like the pickups, that will probably be a problem too. the core supports will be way different and the gas tank filler neck is going to be different too.

Me personally I would want to go the other way a 1st gen on a second gen but i'm a sucker for removable tops
