I like that idea, but depending on how exact you need to be unless you sharpen the all thread so that the points are exactly centered you will be off some. Any circle pattern can easily be laid out using a compass and some math.

My cure for the centering ( I lay awake at nights thinking of things) is to put the small piece of all thread in a drill and slowly turn it against the table grinder. If I have it still enough I figure it will be as close to center as possible.

There's an easier way Shawn.
I used transfer screws on my project, and they worked nicely!

go to http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRHM and search for "transfer screws". :greg:

EDIT: The photo on Enco's website isn't truly representative of the individual transfer screws. The photo shows the sleeve that they come in. To see the actual screws, check out this post. http://www.rockymountainextreme.com/showpost.php?p=441806&postcount=57

Sweet. I think I'm good, but if I need 'em...

I helped do that on TopTruckTom's truck, and it wasn't all that fun. I can't remember if I've got the set we did for the guy I got mine from, or if that was another set that's still in PA.

No worries dude.
That goes for anyone else on RME. If you need em, come and get em. :D

You're right, it wasn't that fun. It was more of a PITA to tap all of the holes for the NPT plugs, which is optional.... :-\

Sorry for the hijack. :)
