Are you guys wanting to just cruise up Skyline drive or play around above the "B"? Skyline drive is typically a 2wd road and above the B is pretty much what you make it but can get boring fast, great spot for checking your clearances though. There are a few spots above the B that you can roll your rig over, so be careful unless you know the terrain well. I live just below there but will be busy with family in town, you guys have fun and don't get hurt. And above all, stay on the established trails, I really hope someone experienced is going with this group to keep them where are supposed to be.
 
If I can make it I know both areas pretty well, but blackzj is right. As long as you are paying attention there is not much to worry about.

Im going, Im experienced, Ive been there a hundred times or so, I can lead if need be, I think the OP was wanting to run old ward canyon trail NOT skyline drive, should be fun times...
 
So far I'll be going now! Woot woot! I've ran old ward so many times I practically do it blind! But only cause some of the washouts can be spooky lol!
