I decided to box in my frame in the rear so I welded in a 2x3x1/4 tube in

pulled my rear axle out cleaned it up with a grinder and wire wheel drained oil and pulled the shafts and the 3rd out

Trucks looking good, I really like to see daily drivers that are also capable wheelers. I also like that your retaining the factory bed and just adding armor to protect the sheetmetal. I am not a fan of the flatbed look.

It's not actually my daily driver I just like the looks of the trucks...But I do want to keep it street legal if I was going to do a buggy I would do a tube frame and a fj40 hood...

So I am married now but the night before i found a RUF pack built out of some marlin springs for 40$ and couldn't turn them down. Plan was to refinish them when I got back from the honeymoon but I couldn't sleep so i got them done

hey Steve what do you think about that bumper idea I found I think its on page 2 of this thread?

It looks cool. I think that bar would be in the way of the bed though. I would get you bed looking the way you want it, then build the bumper around that, but that's just me.

aren't you on your honneymoon? Where did you guys go?

Dude, when you come pick up your wedding present (5-speed), check out my bobbed bed. You're probably sitting at a longbed length now. What's your wheelbase at with those rear springs?

those springs are just long... from hub to hub I am about 102" which should be around stock I wanted to leave them in the same spot
