ok i gota tj brake booster installed on my89 yj.

breaks ok but when in 4 low and droping off some thing the pedals at the floor almost.
no stoping her.
tried 91 z28 booster too long of throw on piston. (tj short z28 long)
WHAT ARE YOU USING AND DOES IT WORK
tj 1 inch bore, z28 1 1/4 bore.
also read about dodge 2500 that looks like direct exchange with ? on reservor hitting hood and push rod needing lenghtend.
11/4 bore size
this sould give me 25% more break fluid.

On my Scrambler I used an S10 dual diaphragm unit with a waggy master cylinder. I may try one of the hydrboost units on my latest project since I have a couple of them in the basement.

I used a hydroboost setup off a 2001 ford superduty. all ya got to do is shorten the factory bracket btwn the vacuum booster and the firewall so the rod sticks into the firewall the same amount as the factory setup. Run an extra power hose to the unit and back to your box/orbital valve and a low pressure hose back to the reservoir.

the hydroboost unit is the same for chevy, ford, and dodge...but the ford master cylinder reservoir is the only one that will clear the hood of a cj, yj, or tj.

oh yea, i also used the ford brake light switch on the peddle.
