buggy REBUILD thread

I've been wearing mine as during my recent build. It's got a lot of weld burns in it now.

I switch off between the RL and the old FTM.

Ha. I just found an old RL Tshirt in my buggy bag 2 weeks ago. curled up under a tow strap. Never worn.

New coilovers for the front are on the way!!

I went with 2.5" FOA in the 16" travel variety with remote reservoirs. Still gotta get some springs.

well, I got the front coilovers mounted and the rears are on the way. 2.5s are big.

the buggy rework was a success! It works like a completely different car now. It feels less tippy and climbs things it could not before. the lower stance is nice and everything works the way it should(for the most part) Still got plenty to do on it, but so far so good.

progress

A few more things have been changed on the buggy. Hoping to have it out at miller next weekend and then winter on the rocks the weekend after.

Got the orbital valve mount changed and got the orbital lower than the reservoir finally.

Got the 2.5 inch piggy back FOAs on the front.

Triangulated the rear lower links

frames for the boatsides done.

re-did the wiring in the engine compartment.

Up next=body panels, hood, grill, rewire dash, new ram mount, windshield, chromoly shafts, drive flanges.

after that it becomes a 4 seat.

Ryan(skippy) has been really killing it getting a bunch of this stuff done.

After some measuring I think I can fit a rear seat in with just putting in a new fuel cell, moving the seats forward, and changing the cage in the rear for headroom. At least it seems to work out with a tape measure. We will see what real life says.
