so i have some scout axles and i want to turn the front axle into a drivers drop and i was wondering if anyone has any experience in changing axle tubes and whats the best way to do it.

For as much work as it is to swap the tubes, I would rather source a different front axle. Waggy axles come driver or passenger drop, and your scout knuckles will fit on any dana 44 except a Rubicon.

I guess i can understand the desire to try to swap things around from a "this would be a fun project to occupy my time" perspective. From the perspective of a swap that is worth the time and money, I don't understand it. 44's aren't substantial upgrades, and 44's that require a ton of extra labor to swap, aren't worth the time.

If you're doing it to "take it to the next level", then don't. If you just like to tinker with things and like the idea of getting hubs and a stronger ring gear (but don't plan to go with bigger tires), then by all means get after it.

the waggy or f 150 axles are my fall backs i just wanted to play aroung with the scout axles cause i have them already and if i screw it up then i dont really care to much.

i mostly want to tinker if i get to it with out a problem id put them under my grand cherokee cause the biggest tires its going to see is 33's maybe 35's depending on my other projects progress.
