I was wondering what ya'll were sportin for front bumpers. Do ya'll have pictures? I am fabbin up a front winch bumper for my Rubi, and I was looking for some stinger ideas.I am using 4" channel, and kinda stuck after that so any ideas or suggestions would help me get over my fabricators block. Haha

Thanks.

1.5" d.o.m. is what I would use. Not a huge fan of the 4" channel myself, I would do a full on tube bumper. But thats just my opinion.

Yeah,
Something like the smaller square that protect the grill and radiator. Thats the line that I was thinking of. Should I angle them forward? I see a whole bunch of them with the extra supports and what looks like to a jungle gym of metal.

Yeah,
That's the look that I am going for. I have seen that bumper a few times, it's clean and sturdy. I think we have hit a bingo with the look. They just recently updated their site with the degree angle that it's mounted to their bumper. So Ill mimic what they have going and maybe add a few things. Crawlin: you mentioned TUBE BUMPER, what are your opinions for/against? What about making it able to carry air? I am having the channel plasma'd out for my d-ring shackles, do anyone think its worth it to put a 2" receiver in or just a waste?

I like mine. Yeah it is big, but so am I. It started out wanting just a stinger then we got a little BUCK with the bender trying a pre runner flair to it????

Invisible, on purpose!
. Pros/Cons of putting a 2" receiver in?
Thanks guys!

I have a reciever in my front bumper. When I started out I had a reciever mounted winch but I couldn't drive around with it in because it hung out 14" infront or back totally unprotected. After a couple of yrs of digging it out of the back every time I needed it I built a winch mount/ pre runner style bumper. I kept the reciever because it ties the frame members together and was a pretty good starting point for the rest of the bumper.

Truth is I put a slug with a hook in there and it's been there ever since!

For what it's worth;)
