Breaking on the trail SUCKS!!!
Thanks again to all that helped get me off the Maze.
Folks like...mbryson, Shawn, as well as a bunch of others that I *should* know...I'll have to go look at pics and figure out names, especially the dude in the buggy that dragged me all over, and the guys that helped reseat the bead, and the guy with air, and the guy with the hi-lift, etc.
What broke? a measly 14-bolt...
I guess I should have been slapped for showing up with tires that burp.
That's kind of the point. If your rig is reasonably equipped and in a state of good repair, sh!t happens. When you head out expecting something to break, (esp. a trans or similar) you may end up breaking someone elses pile while dragging your broken down unit out.
Oh, and folks that helped were Kiel, Herzog, Shawn, del0075 and a few other guys.
My junk will break (again) one day and I'll get hauled out (again). Happens to all of us. Never a bad thing to have friends on the trail.
Mitch: I was going to offer space on my flatbed trailer, but it's already full. Sorry.
