Looks like a 10 bolt to me. Seems like that was mentioned in the other thread? Kind of a rule of thumb about GM trucks is anything past about '81 had a 10 bolt in the front from the factory. From '79-'81 you could have either a D44 or a 10 bolt (likely a 10 bolt, though) and earlier than about '78 you had a D44. (of course this is from the factory and people do tend to swap things out on GM solid axle trucks quite a bit)

Ya'll are smokin something. That's the rare six lug Dana 60 (only used on the 86 half ton Burbs, by the way). :)












Has to be, because any fool can get the steering arm off a 10 bolt or a 44.

that drawing looks like the truck and car rear cover. Chev trucks in the 80's have 10 bolt front and rear in the 1/2 ton. This is just from memory from an "old forgetful brain". 10 bolt fronts do have the big spindles though which means larger inside wheel brg. than say a ford 1/2 ton and a lot of full size jeeps.
