You remember the name?

I was switching windows around so much I completely missed it.

??? I give, looks like a cool trail.

June's Bottom, in the Swell. South of Green River.
Here's what angers me... it's closed to Motorized vehicles and the Mt. Bikers still have access to it.

The trail was in pristine condition when they closed it (end of February, 2003) and it is full of some amazing historical artifacts. The people who lived down there (a very long time ago) would drive their Ford Model-T in and out of the area, which is quite impressive considering some of the terrain.

I really should look into the history of it again for a refresher and write up a report on it.

Sounds like a cool trail, might have to try it on two wheels.

Another Trail - These two photos are taken within ~50 yards from each other.
2nd photo might be a good giveaway of this one.

Ok, a little more information I found out. Turns out that it is closed to mt bikes too. But if you google "June's Bottom" you will find some recent trip reports of mt bikers in that area that claim it's open to them.

There is one exception to the closure: If you are a relative to the family who lived there, apparently you have access of some sort most likely by permit.

My parents know a lot about this trail so I will get more info and do a report soon.

Trail nerd! I swear, one of these day's we will be exploring with you.

We got lucky and was able to drive and experience June's bottom only a week or two before it was set to close. Apparently there are a lot of relatives around that are allowed to get permits, with your connections I'm surprised you haven't found one yet!

Say when, it would be great to get out with the Herzog clan.

Jealous  Its one I really lust after.

Like I said though, I'm still working on a sister wife that's a relative.
