Jack, my original post was from 2011, and if I remember the RS2477 issue and county road reclamation had some support at the time. I didn't mean to imply the glimmer was a bright shining light in the darkness, but.... :D

As for the OP, I can't really say anything nice about driving on a closed road. It's just bad access ethics and it really pisses me off on a personal level, as someone who has invested a considerable amount of time and money in service of land-use and trail access over the years. But whatever, it's pretty clear that no one else matters to him but HIM, and that's his choice. Karma dictates that he gets stuck way up on that road somewhere sometime, so I'll just wait for THAT post.... :rofl:

I was hoping that you had some new news about an effort being made to open Canaan. I personally think doing something that is civil disobedience for a cause that has an end in mind is sometimes necessary like at Paria although it got us nowhere. It is also bad what happened to Dan Jessop and his efforts to keep Canaan open. By the way does anyone know if Dan got his lawyer paid?
