I'm getting pretty close to doing that. I was plasma cutting the springs and all the extras off them last night......in the back of my truck

I think it lost 200LBS already

You can also get the knuckles off and pull the shafts. You'll loose another 200 lbs Bare housing is about 75 lbs? and pretty easy to throw around.

We put a block in between the axle and the bump stop so I could crank down hard with the ratchet strap... not only did it hold on about 6 miles of bumpy road, but it held the entire 80mph trip home...

Last I heard they were in a flooded Delta with all the locals saying " you don't want to be out in those washes"

Delta got 1" of rain in short order this evening.

Nope it helped him, it got pushed all the way back to the highway at the bottom
