I have never been able to find a good "user guide" to CB's, like, how do you find say, the guy 2 cars in front of you on the highway? etc.
I think every rig should have some sort of communication. If you travel with other hammers, get a ham. If you travel with other CB'ers, get a CB, if you travel with other 2-way radios, get them. I'm to the point where I loathe going on trips with people that do not have operating radios of some sort, for a short trailride its not a big deal but if your covering hundreds of miles and getting spread out is common, a radio goes a long ways to keeping the sanity, especially for the trail leader and tail gunner.
Thats a good idea, but isn't that what 19 is for? Then you just agree on a channel to switch to. Thats the way I always thought it has been anyway. When I travel on the highway, I place a sign in the truck window of which channel i'm on. It has come in handy a couple of times. I'm on a personal mission to convert people to that idea.
