It's a nice place, but the price of homes lately has shot through the roof. You get a lot of snow because your pretty high up elevation wise. Water and air are great. If you live away from SUU you son't reallly have to deal with the students, except at Wal-mart and Denny's. I haven't found too many decent restaurants there either.

I lived there for all my college years. Not a bad place at all. Gets snow quite a bit. Cost of living s going up, but is still better than St george.

Why do you ask? Thinking of moving South?:D

I am... The smog in SLC is starting to effect my wife's health. She spent all of her life in Hawaii, and to come here with smog, she isn't use to it.

Hmmm Big bonus!

Didn't Cedar City flood last year? Hill slides and such?

Where are all of the people moving in from?

Cedar flooded a little bit, but it was St George that flooded the most. St George lost about 30 homes to flooding waters and there were about 20 down South of here in Beaver Dam that were flooded or lost. It was quite a mess for a long time.

Most of the people are coming up from California and Las Vegas because they can sell their homes and come buy one here that is double the size for cash.

Pretty nice down here in this end of the state though. Cedar gets a bit cold in the winter, but is really nice and warm in the summer.

Cedar is awesome...Gettin bigger though....My dad has property in Enterprise, about 40 min from Cedar...Less snow, real quiet, about 60sec from Dixie Nat. Forest...
Have some fam that live in Parowan too....Probably about 15-20 min from cedar, great place...

All of this sounds good to me... My wife really likes festivals, so she is gun ho, too. She wants to drive down Saturday and look around.

Great place to live, I spent college there. Wind blows almost continuously, so if you don't like wind. I would move back in a heart beat. Prices are going up, but like someone said there are a lot of surrounding areas not so bad. Parawon is right in the mouth of Brian Head canyon neat little town, 20 minutes from CC.

We didn't go.... I am very busy right now. I have two 8.8's and five D44's to get done. I also have a re-gear and ARB install Monday, not to mention everything else.
