Cheap tandem axle?

I am in the market for a tandem axle trailer to haul my rig on occasionaly and for other utility purposes. I have never come across one for less than $1200 on ksl, craigslist etc. I know you can get cetain models for around $1600 brand new but I am still in college and looking for a deal. I hear stories of people finding them for $300- $600 bucks. Am I missing something where can you find a deal like that?

There might be one a year for $600 or so.... Since steel prices went up a few years ago, $1000 is a decent price and if it's what you want/need at $1200, I'd grab it.

(I got tired of looking and just bought a new one for $1900. There's a BUNCH of junk out there people are trying to pass off as a car hauler type trailer. YMMV)

There was a 20ft tandem on KSL the other day for $1000ish. 20 ft would be nice some times, rig and 4wheeler
