I had a 242np and got away with six states doing the cut and tap setup. They cut my output shaft on the T-case and then put on a flange. Although mine doesn't have the heavy duty shaft it's still better then stock and somewhat stronger because they shortened my existing shaft. I'd think that when you shorten something it's harder to bend, but twisting is another story. Anyways R.E. sells one for $180. Six states put one together for me and installed it for around $300-400 including parts. It turned out really nice. I have 12 on my XJ and I have very little vibration. I think mostly from my tires.
