whatever you want to call it. Is there any acid bath places in or around salt lake. i have a 16 foot aluminum boat i want to take down to bare metal and repaint. Im afraid blasting would be to harsh and warp the crap outta the hull. I know some chem strips are much to harsh for aluminum, but I would like to get in touch with someone who actually does this and see what my options are.

I don't have a recommendation for a shop but if you want to do it your self, you can use Aircraft Remover.

Several companies manufacture it and it is safe for aluminum, it makes a mess but is usually water soluble and very effective. The negative thing about it is that if it is not completely flushed out from all the seam laps, nooks and krannies it will bubble any finish applied over it.

I helped a haul a friends rig over to Portland, OR to have it done. I expect the EPA has regulated it out of existence except in places that support very heavy industry.

Dino's is about a mile away from my dads house and I use them a lot, great work!
