i can gear the axles and all that as well but i really like how leafs and full widths work on my toy why not an xj, has any one ever put leafs in the front of there xj on this site and how did thay like it....?

xj_punk on here had an XJ with leaves in the front. You might find some more info by searching his name.

There's no doubt that leaves are simpler (and cheaper) to set up and get right. However, a properly built and tuned coil/link type suspension will outperform leaves. That said, I am happy with my leaf spring suspension and plan on going that way with my next rig.

Sounds good to me all have to send him a pm, i was thinking of useing the SOA yj 1.5 RE leafs for the front and a 3.5 xj rear spring

you've seen my rig before, it was all chopped up. i am friends with jake b, eric n, petey and moki.
mine was an extreme case as it was all chopped up, but i loved the leafs and was very impressed with the way they handled. i was also set up with shackle reversal, which IMO is the only way to go with front leafs. i had 4" yj front procomp springs. i can dig up some pics if needed
