Yeah, well, I have a front 10 bolt chevy and a rear 14 bolt semi floater (9.5") going under my samurai. You tell me if for that light weight the 10 bolt isn't going to be beefy enough? Of course it is. The engine is a buick 225 built to the hilt, backed by a turbo 350. Wheelbase will be 90 or 95", I still have not decided on that yet. Coil front, quarter elliptic rear.

You had better at least run 2 and1/2ton pigs with that setup.

BTW, the 10 bolt shafts are a little different. Theya are weaker than 44's. I have a friend with 10 boolts in his Jeep, same tires as mine,V8, though he has an auto and I have a stick. He can't keep a shaft in his front end for crap. He doesn't wheel it hard either, he has tried to do Pritchett twice, but only makes it past the first obstacle before one goes. The shaft in a ten bolt neck down ALOT.

right forgot about that, incidently, some later model REAR 10bolts had 30 splines.

I have also heard that the fronts that came on the later solid axle burbs and blazers(after they went to the IFS in the pickups) had 30sp.
