I have a Chrysler 8.25 out of a 1998 Jeep XJ.
The pinion bearing is toast; and there is a ton of play at the pinion yoke. I have not pulled the cover to check what damage, if any, there is to the gears. It has been sitting outside for a while now.
Other than that, it's a 29 spline 8.25 with an open carrier and 4.10 ratio. It has a ZJ disc conversion, bad apple diff guard, and a u-bolt style pinion yoke.
