I broke my second stock spring hanger in the driveway measuring for shocks . The first one broke last summer. We welded it back together and beefed it up pretty good. Now I noticed last night the other side is cracked. Mepco - or most places sell stock type - they say a little stronger for about $15.00 each. I think currie and someone else makes some beefed up ones for a lot more money. I was thinking of getting the stock type ones and carrying my broken/beefed up ones as spares.
Does anyone know if these $15.00 ones are reasonably strong?
Should I just suck it up and pay for the good ones?
Do people break these stock ones often?
BTW - I use some home made shackle that don't "flex" much.
thanks.
