cj hardtop paint

I need to paint my hardtop. Is there any thing special about the fiberglass that I need to be aware of? The fiber glass is fairly porous so I think about all I need to do is scuff it and spray? Any special paint?

Personally I would use some truck bed liner. Walmart sells some that looks pretty good. for less than $50.

Might even want to think about go to a boat shop and getting a gelcoat restoration kit to throw at it first. Since it is made of fiberglass same as a boat I would think they would give it the same basic finish with gelcoat.
