I got these last night for free the guy said they where aftermarket CJ front leafs he said they have a little lift how much lift do you guy's think it has. Also what do you think would be the best setup to run on my samurai. Leave it as it is and just add my Samurai Overload leaf to it. Or just keep the CJ main and us the stock sammi leafs to make up the rest of the pack.

i Wish i would of gotten the stock ones instead of aftermarket but the price was right. I don't know if I should use these or try and get some others but I'm not haveing good luck finding them. When Spenc gets on I'm sure he will let me know what he thinks.

I would suggest the just throw them on as is and see how they do. However, they probably are too stiff and you might want to swap out one or two of the leafs for some leafs from the stock zuk pack. Experiment and see what you like. There is no shame in rebuilding leafpacks every week.

if it were me, i would just get yj springs. i like the wider springs personally, and you can find a lot of leafs to add into the pack if you run 2.5" wide leafs. just my thoughts, but hell do what you can. i know i am going to swap yj springs into my samurai.

I ran the full pack on my zuk. It is still working great and flexing like a champ. Forget about those YJ springs...do a little spring over then go for the FULL COIL setup. Toss those suckers on the back of your zuk with some expansion shackles and a traction bar and you are set!!

It has only 3 big leafs maybe thats normal. I don't know.

The thinner and wider the spring the better. From this pic, it looks as if the bottom spring is very thick.
The thicker the spring the stiffer, less flex, harder ride.

Good deals are hard to pass by, I would throw them on and when you find some YJ's swap them in.

There is nothing wrong with using CJ leaves. They are way underrated. I have never seen or heard of any stock CJ springs that only have 3 leaves. 4 seems to be the minimum. They look darn near stock height to me. Here is a pic of mine for comparison after I re-arched them before reassembly.

I think you would wear out CJs quicker than YJs if you weren't running a traction bar...traction bars are a MUST have item....when you control axle wrap, springs get a new lease on life!!

CJs + traction bar = perfect low buck combination!!

The springs must of been lifted because it raised my sami way hi. I posted on Pirate about putting CJ's front and rear and got the info on doing this. just have to get the springs and the rear swap kit from RRO.
