Cobra 75 WX ST CB Radio

My decade old Radio Shack special CB is shot. I'm looking at getting a Cobra 75 WX ST.
Has anyone had any experience with these?

I didn't see on the site how many watts it is (didn't look at online manual). Max legal for CB (iirc) is 4 watts.

Personally, that is something I would only use if I had space limitations or needed to keep the inside of my vehicle -very- clean. I like to have the knobs and switches easy to find and easy to use.

That's what I have. I believe they are 4 watts, max legal. The power box goes under the dash somewhere and isn't in the hand held part. The hand held is the controls, radio, etc. This also means that you buy several power boxes and then just move the handheld between rigs. I have an extra power box from my boat, if anyone is looking to buy one

EDITidn't say it, but I like my radio and wouldn't hesitate buying another.

I'm on my 3rd 75WXST... great units other than the one that caught on fire. Cobra was nice enough to warranty it though

Well, got hot and started smoking would be more appropriate but it did have an issue
