Considering another wrangler purchase *pics*

We sold Jenn's LJ a week ago, and it has been wearing on me ever since. Against my better judgment I began searching our national inventory and located a wrangler out of state that may be too good of a deal to pass up.

Its a 98' Sahara 4.0, auto, 118k and a clear title. From the pics it seems pretty clean and my buddy at the store it's at checked it out and said aside from a few leaks, all is well.

Jenn is telling me to wait until winter when the prices go down. I haven't seen one this nice and for less than $3k in years. I may just have to take the plunge, and start another "herjeep" project for EJS:p

What do you guys think?

Good find! I think you should do it...nobody likes to be Jeepless ;) How far away is it?
:greg:

AZ. I still have my jeep, but Jenn is now confined to driving the neon-_-

Do it! And get rid of those tube bumpers. You would be doing a service! :D

Agreed. The bumpers and wheels are hideous. I have a huge pile of parts left from my TJ that might end up on it if I get it. It would basically become my old rig by getting my fenders, cage, tires, axles and rear stretch corners/frame.

I may also wait until I can put 40s on it instead:cool:

I was thinkin it would be a bad idea to sell a built rig for less than it cost to build and then turn around and buy another to build but since you already have most of the parts I say go for it.

Agree to a point. She was making payments on the LJ, and it was also living on borrowed time considering the way she wheeled it. It wouldn't have stayed in that good of condition much longer.

I would just pay cash for this one. We'll see. I may have to get creative in the next couple of days:greg:

If I put my wife in a Neon, she'd now be my ex-wife......maybe??? Never mind, it would cost too much money and she has already told me she would leave me but it would make me happy and why would she want to do that. Twentyone years and going strong. Marcus, get her out of that Neon if you want her to stick around.

That just answered my question before even asking it and it makes a lot of sense!

I was going to say you just sold a bitchin' rig, and now you want to build a second one? Basically...Along those lines.

I used to get worried about my rig and the fact I'm making payments/lease on it. Anymore though, I don't. I know that if I were to ever roll it or etc, it can be repaired. There are so many in the junk yards, that I can always get a new tub/frame or even go one step further and make a tube frame or etc. Granted it about kills the value of the rig from a driver stand point, but not as a wheeler. Wheeler's already have no value ;) The only thing I worry about anymore is getting home! lol

If you don't buy it I will. Wait, I can't, I just started my next project. But let me know if you don't buy it anyway.

Wow, that's a crazy deal

After tearing out and selling everything under our TJ, we're into it about 8k  Granted, that cost has included 3 years of good wheeling

what new project-_-

Wow, that's a crazy deal

It is a fantastic deal that's really tough to pass up

I paid 3400.00 for my salvage titled TJ in 04.

The downside is it will push the completion of my TJ build back as I will have to funnel some of that money for this jeep:-\
