Cool Moto hauler

I saw this on another forum and thought it was a super cool idea. Someone should build one and tell me how it works.

Seems like a solution in search of a problem to me. Unless you HAVE to have something that small for storage, I think any moto hauler or basic utility trailer would be significantly more stable, and then provide more than just a single use option.

But I wont fault the guy for thinking of and building something unique. We need more people being productive and creative. Props to him for attempting something, and more props for it working.

I took some pictures of one of these setups and talked with the designer at length at SEMA a couple years ago and had come to the same conclusion: I already have a truck with a bed. However, I love the design and would love to build one.
I'll see if I can dig up the pictures.

The guy at SEMA explained it to me that if the hitch rolls axially the system doesn't work so that's the key.

Good eye. That is a pretty easy setup to replicate.

I love the Bear Bones bike storage rack. I've actually though about building one to save some space in my garage. I totally forgot they made a single wheel bike hauler too. Cool stuff.

You would be the last person I would think of to tell someone to not buy/build another trailer and just use the one they have

That was my thoughts exactly. Piece of square tube, driveline yoke and a flange adapter. Then add in a trunion on each end of the square tube, might be able to cut up a u joint on the cheap and weld to the tubing.

You could really use an old, cut-down driveline but you just have to limit the u-joint to not turn both directions on each end. That would be easy. It’s a neat idea.

Remember that stub shaft I got from you years ago? This trailer design was why.

I never ended up building it. But was going to tow it behind my Jetta.
