So I just had a thought, this mask mandate couldn’t be any better timed. Likely seeing high numbers from holiday gatherings. Said numbers should “naturally” start to taper off from those gatherings within a few weeks. Those weeks where we’ve been under a mandate. Overlord Wilson and Mendenhall will surely pat themselves on the back about how well they did and say hey look how well that mandate did at slowing the spread. 2022 year of the mandate here we come

I know most people will just roll their eyes but from a legal standpoint a mandate is a contract that is only valid if you enter into it by complying. A mandate has no inherent ability to be enforced unless you enter into the contract.

I've been sick for the last 3 weeks. Lost 24 pounds so far and cant eat anything other than Jello. I have a disease called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. I've had it since I was a kid and it nearly killed me a few times, but flares are typically caused by some stress on the body. I've had 3 flare ups now since my heart swelled up from the vaccine. I've lost almost 70 pounds since the end of August. To put it into context the last major flare I had was probably 15 years ago. I was a kid last time I had one that lasted 3 weeks.

I don't think the definition of "mandate" according to ancient Roman or Louisiana law really applies in a broad sense. Also just because people refer to it as a "mask mandate" casually doesn't mean that is what it actually is. It is a "Public Health Order" and you won't find the work "mandate" in it anywhere.
Its kinda like the whole Russian Collusion thing. There is no crime of collusion, that is just what people adopted as a way to refer to it. If there was a crime committed it would have been conspiracy, not collusion.

And "Order" is a mandate, as defined by BLD as well.

There are legal ways around it. If you know anybody affected and they want help I recommend they find and listen to Alphonse Faggiolo and start learning how to submit affidavits and statements of fact. There's a lot of victories going on out there in the healthcare world, the problem is they now have to work a little harder to get that victory.

At the U they put out the requirement and then a week before the drop dead date they said they consulted with legal and since there was issues before courts they weren't going to follow through with it at this time and let the courts figure things out. But they got 93% compliance faking a requirement.
