Just because I go through any and all grinders (regardless of brand) like every two months I thought ya'll would appreciate this. I've had really good luck with these HF grinders and when you buy them for $15 the warranty is only $3...

I have 3 at any given time (1 for cutoff wheel, 1 for wire wheel, 1 for abrasive disc) it beats the heck out of changing back and forth all the time.

I have had a couple cheap HF grinders out-last my name brand ones. I love the 4" HF grinders. I might have to go pick up another, good deal!

I recently bought the red casing one, before that I had the blue casing one and it died after only about 30 hours of use.

If it was the cheap blue cased ones (regular price $17.99)... they are garbage... they regularly go on sale for $9.99.

You guys need to pick up a Metabo grinder i have had mine for 6 years and I use it a few times a week the only thing that ever went bad was the switch stopped locking in the on position. and 4 bucks later it was up and going again

Ive had my makita 4 inch for 17 years now and have never had a problem with it. I have used it for doing my soa and odds and ends, and for making ceder pedistals for mounts and plaques for euro mounts. for the $60 origanally paid for it, I feel I got my money's worth, and it still works great

I've used the bajeebus out of my dewalt grinder that I picked up on clearance for $35 at Sears. Normally I don't care for dewalt tools, but this grinder has been excellent.
I've never used tools to change the wheels out either, just hold the lock button down a sprin them off by hand, literally takes 8 seconds. The best part is the finger tip lever style switch.
I would never buy one of the thumb style switch. Shipwreck tools has now knocked off the new model with the new style switch though.
