That is the only way into eagle mountain right now. Smiths was crazy, people buying all the pillows rugs blankets what ever they could ahold of. It took me 4and 1/2 hours to get home from bangerter and redwwod to saratoga springs and that is with me taking the back roads.

cops aren't letting anyone out on redwood and are turning cars around heading w. out of Lehi. She's in a lifted tracker with decent mud terrains, and she can drive, wish they'd just let her go...ha ha ha

Wow. That sucks. She could probably go all the way around through Tooele. That would really bring the suck, though.

Oooooor you could go south on Saratoga Road to Redwood and then north to the road Rockmonkey posted.

Then like I said, there are two other dirt roads that will get you there without going very far out of your way.

Thats the backroad I took but the traffic was from redwood all the way to saratoga rd. on 400 south I live south from there so Just cut through the neighborhood and redwood was clear all the way out.

Someone just told me it took them 6.5 hours to get from 3300 South and 9th west to Saratoga Springs.

I had a couple of trips like that when they were redoing I-15. I don't think they were 6.5 hours, though. More like 3-4. That's a LONG time to not be moving.

It took me 15 minutes to get home. I was glad I stayed at the office today and didn't go visit any stores.

We live in lehi and we left orem at 530 almost got home and the wind is blowing at 60mph out here. the road to our house was closed do to people sliding off so i thought i would go in the back road well it was closed also:-\ Police nded up directing us the other way than we need to go. 2 days ago the front driveline broke on my WJ so im in 2wd and ended up getting stuck and pulled out twice couldnt go back the other way snow drifts to deep so i knew the way i needed to go but didnt know the streets around here. Turned down one road and ran into a huge snow drift so i stopped waited, and a couple cars went thru so i figured if they can do it i can to in 2wd so i followed and it ended up being a hill with a dozen cars at the bottom stuck in waist high snow drifts with the wind blowing at 60mph or faster well i hit the brakes and went into someones front yard and i was done... stuck to the doors. no way out as we were all pilled up at the bottom with no way out snow was to deep. Tried to call fro help and cell died so we sat in the car for 45 min we have a 1month old baby with us so i get out to ask people whos yard we are in if we can please come in we have new baby in the car. He says sure... they take us in and warm us up and we called to ask lehi about getting a plow out there to clear this road we get a answer of our plows are shut down to bad of weather. So we ended up spending 4 hrs in some peoples house while our rescue people tried to get to us. so a total of six hrs stranded and ended up having to leave the jeep there and will go get it in the morning. Wind was blowing and snowing to hrd to try and get it out tonight. cant wait to see what it looks like in the morn because wind is still blowing like mad here. I have never seen a storm like this:-\ I hope everyone makes it home safe

I had to go to the store at 10:45, got done with that and figured I'd drive around looking for this bad weather people have been talking about.... I never found it I found some drifts, and I saw a lot of cars parked on the side of the roads.... I checked out the first part of the dirt road I've been talking about, not only was it passable but more than a few people had used it to get home.....

ok I got out yaaaaaaaaa! We got lucky I found a road that had nobody on it just at the top of the hill going into the ranches. The guy blocking the road let us through. We past the wreck and all I can say is holy crap!!! Ive never seen anything like that. We counted 19 card that we could see in the wreck. There were cars 50 yards off into the hills we made it to our shop in Lehi at 8 pm. We were some lucky mo fo's

Pleasant Grove got nothing. A little windy and a skill of the white stuff on the ground is all we saw. I was severely disappointed.

My wife got in a wreak at the end of December and at the end of January the rental car place told us the reason that they did not have any other cars available other than the POS S 10 Blazer wana be is that there were 1400 wreaks already for the year...Im sure that number is a little high but good luck trying to find a rental right now...

Something I just dont' get about Utah: why does it SEEM that there are so many accidents when it snows? Can people really not drive in snow here? Is it just sensationalist news? It snows all the time here!

I forgot the possible California factor. That might be it right there.

Well I was working that night in Lehi... Here are a few pics I took (w/ my phone)

After we got the Durango out we then saw a window of a full size Ford passenger van completely covered!

Found out the next day that my friend was in the middle of the wreck but managed not to get hit, then ended up bitching on the tv while waiting to get home.
