So I think my truck has reached the point in its life that it needs new injectors, Where is the best place to buy them? Should I buy new or reman injectors? should I step up to a +50 horse injector?

this is a 2003 dodge with the cummins.

Be cautious purchasing remanned injectors. I have a buddy who bought some Bosch remanned injectors on line and had nothing but issues afterwards. After bringing it to me and troubleshooting I still came to the conclusion it was injectors. I replaced them with new OE injectors and the truck ran fine afterwards. Technically there are only a few remanufacturing companies certified by Bosch to reman their injectors and sell them as such. However, any Joe Knucklhead can re-seal a Bosch injector in his garage or basement and sell it as a "remanned Bosch injector" because he thinks he remanned it.

Personally I have not used any remanned injectors and have only used new but I know there are some reputable injector remanufacturers out there.

Sorry I don't have more to add as far as remanned injectors.

Mike.

Industrial Injection. They are local to y'all and have the coolest folks working there.

GM D-Max injectors I have been purchasing from Merchant Automotive out of Zeeland, Michigan as I have found they have the best prices and are on my doorstep fast. For Ford and Dodge I have been buying new Bosch injectors from my local NAPA.

Call Goff Injection. Enough said. I do injectors and injection pumps and all that beautiful stuff and have never had a single issue. He flow tests everything and I can usually get a better pump for less than a stock one. (Maybe he cuts me a deal i dont really know or care his stuff just flat works!!!)

Definitely DON'T buy remanned injectors. I bought some from and had them installed by a reputable diesel shop on my 04.5 Cummins. Within 7k miles I started having problems. They pulled them out and sent them back to the place that had rebuilt them. Truck was down for a week, within another 5k miles more problems. Took the truck to the aforementioned injection "experts" and paid them to rebuild/recalibrate them. Still had issues. After 4 trips to the two different shops it was still never right. No way I would ever buy anything other than OEM new injectors. Even at that, ridiculous that they don't last more than 120k-150k miles. The whole reason my new truck is a gas motor. Miss the diesel torque, but not the repair bills and hassles.
