D44 steering

Im helping a friend upgrade his steering on a dana 44. does a d44 use the same steering components as a d30? what would you recomend that we use? right now if you go over 25 it wanders all over the road and we need that fixed.

oh yeah we're talking about an 1989 jeep MJ

what 44? from a Tj of a full size truck ? it makes a difference.

the guy he bought it from claims its out of a wagoneer so its out of a jeep and its not full size . . . i was at krawlers house when he posted this thread for our friend so im answering for him

There are a few different options for wagoneer D44s. Most (depending on the year?) SJ D44's already have the tie-rod on top of the steering arm. You can also locate flat top knuckles and do hi-steer arms up top.

If it's wandering really bad, check the caster... or post pictures of the current setup.
