Is there a particular vehicle (wagoneer, older cherokee) which has d44's that can be directly swapped under a 95' xj or do they all need to be customized? Obviously I need to match the gears, but what else is involved? Thanks in advance for any info!

Yo Monkey....he said "directly swapped" ............
Some XJ's in the 86-87 years came with D44's from the factory, as did some Comanche pickups of the same years. The XJ models are bolt in, the Comanche's require spring perch flip because the were spring under.........BTW, JR at MsConception Motorsports had an XJ 44 for sale a few weeks back, give him a holler 972-9232.

yeah bud, some xj's came with D44's from 87 to about 90 or so. They are rare, but a direct swap. (you just need bigger u-bolts)
