Next weekend 4X4 Unlimited is holding a Mothers Day Weekend trail run which will be joined by the Lonepeak Wheelers!

We will be meeting at 9 A.M. at the mcdonalds next to K-mart on the south side of town! from there we will be heading to the "sawdust pit jumps" up above town then heading towards the trail head where we will climb up a hill known as the widow maker where the true start of the Dairy Canyon Trail starts. The trail is rated 3.5-4 with a few steep climbs, a few offer camber spots but has turn offs for those who feel a little un-easy and I am even told that up the trail aways is what they call the "playground" which is a giant opening off slick rock, sandstone, limestone, the works!! It is somewhat full width friendly as I am told so I will even be letting my buddy take my ford Bronco up it as well so fullsize rigs welcome!

So feel free to join us and bring the family! and prepare to have a good time! :greg:

Sounds like fun, to which town are you refering?

Yes it is in Richfield

and I forgot to mention the trail runs along the edge of a canyon rim and offers a pretty good view! I will be heading up it today to make sure nothing got to washed out in one spot from a rainstorm a few days ago so I will take some pictures of the trail while I'm out

Well I got to where the trail starts getting difficult inside of a old river bed, bunch off little ledges, rock piles, sharp turns and it is a blast, gets kinda hairy in some spots but with the people we have coming everyone shall be able to sneak right in and out of it!!

Heres the pics from the first major obstacle to where I had to turn around due to rain.

just click the slide buttons off to the side!

its a rated 3.5-4 which means 32" tires minimum and a locker is recomended but not needed. the river bed is the most difficult part sense you are stuck with mainly 1 line of travel most of the time, but everything is passable, especially with how many people we have coming!

the trail takes about 4-5 hours to run so make sure your rig is topped off with fuel. so far as my leader knows there are little over a dozen going so far.
