How well will a dana 30 with 4:10's and ARB hold up with 35"s??? The jeep is used on and off road and the wheeling is moderate If I try and dont suceed, I dont keep trying till I break something. I am also running a amc 360 and a auto trans if that matters....

I have stock shafts in the axle now but I purchased a set of WARN heavy duty inners and I believe they will take a larger u joint. The kit is a dana 44 shaft that has been necked down at just before it goes into the gears.

I ran 35's and 37's on my dana 30 for about 7 years and only broke one outer shaft, it was with a 258, but I pushed it pretty good

I'd be more worried about driveshaft and tcase, with 4.10's and 35's than I would axle shafts. 4.10's is only a 4:1 torque multiplier, meaning you will have to push it harder from an engine perspective, which will put more stress on the drivetrain than the axles themselves. Not that there is much of a difference between 4.10 and 4.88, but....

I will eventually put a 4:1 in the transfer case but for now the vehicle is drven on the road more than offroad so it needs to fit two needs.

Thats the cool thing about tcase gears, it doesn't change road manners.

I had a 30 with 35s and arb for a long time and was fine. I had the stock bigger joints though. I wouldn't trust the small ones.

ive seen a stock dana 30 in a cherokee with an arb, 35s and joe's lead foot(for those of you who know him, know what im talking about) it held up pretty well i think he did break a ujoint once, but this kid drove his cherokee, like mike tyson beating a blind old lady. he did break a ring and pinion, but that was because he found out he could stop quicker by slaming the tranny into reverse then punching the throttle...

I've jumped my jeep 9ish feet high, going up a hill faster than i thought and it then went completely flat again. All on my Cherokee's stock Dana 30 front, and Chevy 8.25 rear

only damage done was I pinched my transmission line, and bent my upper control arm on the passenger side.
