What is the difference between the CV style and the "U" Bolt style? I have the CV style on the Cruiser and a U Bolt style in my hand, besides the size of the hole for the bolt I see little difference.

I'm pretty sure the U bolt style has the back machined flat so there is room for the nut and washer to go on it. At least that's what a guru told me....

Oh......by CV type I thought you meant the strap and bolt type. So there are three yokes: CV, strap, and Ubolt. You are wondering if the CV type can be used with a regular U bolt...which I guess it could.

The bolt hole spacing is different and I believe the deck height is different. I would check but I am out of stock on the cv yokes so I can't compare.

I have heard over and over from many sources that modifiiiying a Ubolt style to work with a CV wont work. What size CV yoke are you looking for? I do have 1310s to fit both stock 300 and 32 spline sitting over here.
