Dana 60 Hub Help

I have been searching online all evening for info about my rear D60 hubs. I am replacing the inner seals, but because I don't know the year, make and model of the vehicle it's out of, the part's store couldn't determine which seal I need. On the sides of my hubs is 77828 and BUDD.

Everything I've researched talks about the BUDD hub being a DRW, but mine isn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cant they just cross reference the number on your old seals?

Why not take the seals out and match them up?

My D60 is out of 79 Ford F250.

Unfortunately the seals don't have a part number on them. The rim of the rubber seal has the dimensions of the seal, but that's it.

I'll post some pics of the hub later to see if that helps. We searched for the 79 F250, but the seal was considerably different.

I would take seal to a place that has catalogs... then go through till it matches. (napa still has paper catalogs)

If none of those suggestions is productive, look for the BOM number on the axle tube (Bill Of Material). Then look it up on Dana's web site......it'll give you all the specs of that axle.
