I pulled a dana 60 out of a 1991 ford f-350 it has the king pins
whats the difference if any from this and one from a 1979 ford

also is the rear worth anything I was going to put them under my 1995 bronco is the ford 10.25 from the rear of the 1991 f-350 any good

78-79 the diff is more offset to the middle but still left side, yours is closer to the drivers knuckle. Your 10.25 is plenty strong, and better then whatever you got now, 35 spline axles etc

...and you most likely have balljoint knuckles, where the '79 would have kingpins. Still fine, but steering options are very limited (or non-existent) in comparison.

If my memory serves me right, the 1991s have king-pins with a shorter driver side axle tube. The 1991s also have non-neck down axle shafts that are a bit stronger than the 78-79 axles.

I have an 1986 HP60 in my TJ.

My father-in-law has a 1990 F350 with balljoint knuckles. That's where my "research" came from. ;)

I guess that we established the axle is a late model HP60 with king-pins, the only real difference would be the short axle tube and the axle shafts. I would pull the shafts to see if they are the non-neck down versions as they should be......I guess the moral of this story is to verify verify verify!:):D

Good luck with the build, this will be a great axle.
