A 5-lug 60 isn't going to use stock shafts, so most likely it'll end up being 35 spline.

I have a 61 inch wide semi float 5 on 5.5 D60 in the garage from a 60's vintage F100 and it has 30 spline shafts in it. I am planning on elockers, 4.56 gears and need to figure out the disk brakes for it. The one I found had 4.10 gears and a posi in it.

Seems like the exact build we are planning dave. I am going to try to develop a disc brake setup with an e-brake. Im hoping for internal drum style e-brake.

What size wheels will you be running? The goal here is 17's so I have more room to work with as far as rotor and caliper size.

I have a 8 lug semi float 60 out of a 2007 chevy van, I would love to use the whole brake setup, just redrill to 5 on 5 1/2. But thats for my crawler, and we will need to source those parts for his build.

.

I have 15 inch wheels for the Commando I'm building. I will need to check out different options for mine. The brakes that came on the old F100 axle are pretty pathetic.

Wouldn't a full float D60 be stronger than a semi float in stock form? I'm assuming the SF D60 was picked due to its width and bolt pattern.
