After many years of living in SLC and having many Jeep and general automotive resources nearby, I'm building a home in Kaysville and I have no idea where the good parts stores, hardware stores, wrecking yards, etc are at. Particularly, I have no idea where any Jeep or offroading shops are in the area. Is there anybody out there who lives in the area that can point me in the right direction(s)?

thanks

I'm not real familiar with the area but I will say that the only parts store you need up in the area is Tom's (I THINK its a Parts Plus). That is the only parts store I have ever been to that really knows their stuff...such as if you as for a starter for a BB Chevy they dont care if its 2wd or 4wd (since they are the same and they know it) they just go and grab it...awesome people at Tom's...

Tom's is now NAPA. However, S.X.O.R is in Clearfield also and then there is also an unknown place in Layton. He mainly deals with Suzuki but he will dabble in the Jeep scene as well. There is also Dimension Off-Road for various off road parts. The Big O on Antelope Drive in Layton also caters to the 4x4 crowd very well. They can get you anything you need.

Most of the same guys that were at Tom's are still working for Napa 773-2929. There's also 4Wheel Parts in Riverdale and All Pro in West Haven.

Not a whole lot in Kaysville for parts or wrecking yards, I always go to the zone in Layton or Bountiful, as Checker can be pretty useless. Other than that it's really nice and quite there, just the way I like it.
