Me too. Cool stuff!

eta - if the abandoned van was in Wilderness, why were they allowed to land a helicopter or drive in their own vehicles to investigate? I thought such things were verboten.

I just finished reading the entire story/blog, that guy was very generous with his time and energy to bring closure to those families. Too bad the sheriff's department were kind of pricks about some things. If I ever get lost and need searching for, I hope someone as determined as Tom is looking for my butt.

Just not 13 years after the fact...

Good read! Reminded me of the Hardy Boys books I used read as a kid. Couldn't get enough of them.

Read that last week. Amazing story, especially if you've been in the area. I can vouch how creepy it gets around the Barker Ranch (Manson hangout).
