I used to play a lot while on my mission in Illinois 20 years ago. But when I got home there weren’t any courses nearby so I quit. Now there’s a small course in town but I no longer have the discs. It was good fun.

There's a fun course maybe a half mile from our place in Eden. We played 9 holes on Thanksgiving with the kids. Mostly they just took turns throwing it and didn't keep track of throws.

.Up by the airport? I haven't played that one yet. I've played the course at Valley Park a couple times and went down to Disc on 6th in Midvale once.
You don't have to, but golf discs work better. I have a couple extra in my bag if you or anyone wants to give it a pull.

We bought disc sets for our kids for Christmas last year. They never really took off with it, but there are tons of courses up here. We see people playing at all our cross country meets. I think its fun occasionally but I do get cracked up at the level of seriousness some folks take it to. I guess if it was my thing I'd get serious too.

It's cool, but it's never been my thing. I've gone out with them a few times and they are very impressive...I just can't seem to enjoy it enough to get all serious with it.
I got into it for a little bit because it was something the young men in my ward enjoyed. Kind of a "filler" activity if you will. I bought some discs at the play it again sports on 13th E. The guy working there was hilariously informed on how the different discs performed. Dude was like a disc ninja. The only places I ever played were Valley (raised in T-Ville so it just feels right) and the Goblin Valley course.

Gotcha, I am pre running FYTO this weekend. I'm down for a day in January or over Christmas break.
I bought a set after we took our YM out in 2019 as well. We are a very un-athletic youth group so it was a pretty low risk activity and they seemed to enjoy it. My own kids are still a little small to play but with my knee feeling much better walking all over is something I could actually do again.

We’ll know it’s serious when we start talking about flight characteristics of various plastics.I played a few times a week 6ish years ago, but had to retire when I moved to StG because the only course was garbage. I now live walking distance to the Moab course (haven’t played it yet), so anyone that wants to play should hit me up when you’re down this way. Supposedly base camp Moab has a pretty epic course also. I doubt either are as good as some of the good courses along the wasatch front… art dye, hobble creek, one up by sugarhouse… so good.
There really is nothing like hearing chains from a long distance approach shot and seeing a disc sink into the basket.
