Hey! So I pulled my daughters quad out of the shed yesterday and started to go through it to get it ready for the season. Found some issues…. The manifold from the carb to the cylinder was cracked really bad—I’d be surprised if it didn’t suck dirt in 😭 Found options to be plentiful online so I bought a brand new one yay.

Now for the boot that goes between the carb and the air box. It’s shot too—ugh. I’m having a heck of a time finding one anywhere.

It’s Polaris pn# 1253389. Everywhere I’ve searched has the part listed as discontinued. Haven’t had luck on eBay as well.

Oh it’s a 2002 Polaris Trailblazer 250.

What to do.. what to do.. anyone know of an atv salvage yard you’d recommend? Should I clean it really good and then smear a bunch of silicone on it lol?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Andrew

Pics are good. Here’s the rig—remember these things? It’s been 20 years since these were new. Man I’m getting old 😂

Not often wrong. Never quite right.

Clearly this calls for New Bike Day. I'm sure your daughter will understand.

Failing that, I've had luck stretching the life of old hoses using that fusing silicon tape. I'd be iffy about it on a water hose, but on an intake hose you might get away with just running it like that?
