Disk replacement

So next week I have a double disk replacement for my neck. Has anyone had this done before? I really at this point have no idea to expect as far as recovery. I have heard anything from weeks to months and was wondering if anyone has any real world experience?

Mine was probably not exactly the same, but did have discs removed/replaced and fused in my neck. I had mine done on a Thursday morning. Went home that afternoon and cooked dinner for my kids that night. Was driving myself around to get prescriptions the next day, went back to work on Monday. Wasn't any big deal. Hurt like **** for awhile, but just pain, no real issues.

Hurts like **** now lol. That's the kind of feed back I was hoping for. Doesn't seem like its as bad as procedures like this used to be. I've been dealing with the issue for 8 years, but its got to the point that I can hardly use my right hand most of the time, so some extra pain is worth it to not have to deal with the meds and shots lol

Well I'm back home. Its sore but not as bad as I thought it would be. Hopefully I'll be back on the trail by September. Doc said full recovery in 6 weeks as long as I take it easy. So far my throat is the part that is the most sore

Recovery on pretty much anything is sucky. Plenty of rest, plenty of fluids (Gatorade is awesome) and protein as well.
